GETTING ‘MORTGAGE READY’

To progress a mortgage for you, we need to gather certain documents for each applicant. By collecting this information at the outset, we can make sure that not only can we recommend the most appropriate lender for you, but you will be ready to move forward quickly with a mortgage application as soon as needed.

At this stage, we require a copy of the documents, however we may request sight of the originals later, dependent on the lender recommended. If you have trouble attaining the required documentation, our team of expert advisers can guide you through the process.

The main groups of documentation that we require are:

  • Identity and address evidence
  • Credit File
  •  Bank Statements
  • Income Evidence
  • Property Portfolio

There will be other documents the lender recommended may require in due course. For residential purchases, this would include evidence of deposit such as a build up of savings or a gift letter. For BTL and commercial, this could include a business plan, cashflow statement or ASTs. We will let you know any additional requirements a lender may require on a case by case basis.
